What do you need to do today to make things right ? This is not the most popular question I ask my clients (and myself) but I find myself asking it often.
I hear so many people saying they want to find happiness, joy and peace and they are exhausted in their efforts to find and obtain them.
I often try to dig deep into what steps they have tried and what the outcomes have been. More often than not, I "hear" a story of unresolved issues that have been skirted over as "not a big deal." Examples:
"I haven't spoken to her in years."
"I don't mind, I have forgive them & moved on."
"I am over it."
What my question is asking is hard but simple... What do you need to do to make things right with that thing or things that is gnawing at your soul? My clients are taken aback by this for a second but ultimately they are able to come up with some answers such as:
"I guess I could email an apology."
"I suppose I could pray for God to bring them back in my life for me to unravel some things."
"I need to make a phone call."
What is important to note here is the fact that not all efforts to reach out and make amends are welcome or reciprocated. My question, then, would be.. how did reaching out make you feel? If your answer is "peaceful, happy or joyful" then you have accomplished something in a new way and found new results. What do you need to do differently today, you strong woman warrior you, to make things right?
