One day, an old man was walking along a beach that was littered with thousands of starfish that had been washed ashore by the high tide. As he walked he came upon a young boy who was eagerly throwing the starfish back into the ocean, one by one.
Puzzled, the man looked at the boy and asked what he was doing. Without looking up from his task, the boy simply replied, “I’m saving these starfish, Sir”.
The old man chuckled aloud, “Son, there are thousands of starfish and only one of you. What difference can you make?”
The boy picked up a starfish, gently tossed it into the water and turning to the man, said, “I made a difference to that one!” (L.Eisley)

MEET KIM
I met darkness in a garage nearly twelve years ago. My life as I knew it was over. By the grace of God, I began a journey towards restoration. I knew from that moment on, that I would spend the rest of my life helping women avoid that darkness and to be a light in the darkness for so many women who need encouragement.
Being free, "unbound" and redeemed led me to want to be a Coach for women and UNBOUND was born.
You will read my credentials below, however, it is my life, up to this beautiful point.. that qualifies me the most. I have seen beauty and grace and freedom and humor and laughter and tears and joy and bitterness and forgiveness and pain and happiness. I have felt God speak, seen Him move, felt the calling to love myself despite my mistakes; to guide others on their own journey with accountability and partnership and above all, with hope from a God who loves you. I have met depression face to face and self harm was a partner I never wanted. Anorexia nearly took my life three times durning my teens and twenties as I struggled to control a life that was out of my grasp and self loathing was my best friend. Failed marriages, miscarriage, unhappy memories that I couldn't control and shame stole the majority of my life until I knew life had to change and with help from my own Coach, my own path and promise to love myself so I could love those around me, motivated the better part of this past decade. I am a friend. I am a Coach. I understand.
MY EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL PATH
I graduated from Texas State University with a minor in Psychology. I sold computers, published a romance novel, raised children and spent nearly a decade as a Preschool Teacher before I embarked upon my training and desire to be your Coach.
I am trained and dual-certified through Lifeforming Leadership Coaching and the Christian Coaching School with 60 course hours completed.
I am also a member of the International Coaching Federation and Christian Coaching Network International (and participating in their continuing education and workshops).
In 2018, I became a trained fascilitator of PAL (Parents of Addicted Loved Ones).
In 2019, I led a prayer ministry for a program in Travis County and corresponded with women in a jail program seeking prayers.
MY "OTHER THAN A COACH" SIDE
As a native Austinite, I didn't stray too far from home. Still located just a short commute from Downtown, my husband and our blended family of five children and two dogs are proud to call Austin home. I love hanging out with my husband and our kiddos whenever they will let us! I also love to sit by my creek and visit with God, Barre3, walking my dogs, checking out books from the library and sharing my story to help others. I attend a non-denominational church here in Austin and am a prayer leader in a Life Group for women and a member of a Life Group for couples. I am also available to speak and have been honored to be feautred as the Guest Speaker for PAL (Parents of Addicted Loved Ones).
